Year 6 have been very busy with Maths this term. This week they have been looking at topics like probability, presenting data in bar charts and most recently learning about mode and range.

Tuesdays is test day for Year 6. All the children get to recite which ever surah or page they are learning to the Ustaadhs.
It would be a big help if parents could spend a few minutes with them each day to practice their reading.

Year 6 Assembly - The Two Gardens

Year 6 did their first assembly of the year. We used the story of the two gardens from Surah al-Kahf, verses 32-44. One of the lessons that we learn from this story is the importance of being grateful to Allaah (Subhaana Wa Ta'aala)

The Year 6 boys had a good workout in PE with some circuit training. Lots of exercises and some of them even had to stop talking for a few minutes!

Year 6 decided to try an unconventional way of revising their times tables on Friday. We moved the class into the playground, drew some big grids on the floor and then held a jump-off.
With one student asking the questions, 2 others had to try to be the fastest to jump on the square with the correct answer.
The children enjoyed it so we thought we'd share some pictures of Year 6 in action.
