Year 4 have been investigating “Can people with larger feet jump further?” as part of Science and P.E lessons.
Each child had to measure foot area by drawing around their foot using cm squared paper then adding up cm squares plus the part squares.
Children then had to take turns jumping and measured jump length.
Finally, we used a scatter graph to examine if foot area affects jump length.
We found that it is not true that people with larger feet can jump further, in fact one of our children who has smaller feet but does a lot of exercise jumped the furthest mashaAllah!
