Year three have been learning about letter writing. We learnt how to write formal and informal letters. We even looked at how do the letters get delivered. Here are a few examples of our informal letters.

Dear Hana,

How are you? I went to India in the summer holidays. We went to my uncle’s house. We went by an aero plane. In the plane I took some colouring to do but all my pencils fell on the floor.

When we arrived India I stayed at my uncle’s house. I went to see my other uncles and aunties too. My uncle took us to shopping. We bought lovely clothes and jewelry from there. We ate salan and chapatti every day it was so yummy.

I had a great time in India. I hope you had lovely holidays too.

Dear Ibraheem,

I went to Dubai in summer holidays. I went there for holiday. It was so hot over there. I went by plane. I had some dinner in the plane but I didn’t like it.
When we reached Dubai we stayed in Atlantic hotel. It was huge. There was even a swimming pool there. But it didn’t smell nice under the water. I saw beaches, fun parks, and hotels.
I ate different types of lovely food there. I enjoyed my trip.

Dear Hassan,

How are you? I want to tell you about my holidays. I went to Egypt in summer holidays. I drove at 1 O’clock and flew at 3.15.
I stayed in Hmanges Hotel. We got there at 7.15. I saw a gigantic pyramid. I ate some ice-cream and I bought a big dinosaur.
