Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome to the Reception class at Noor Ul Islam Primary School. We hope your children have all enjoyed their start to school. We have had a great few weeks and really enjoyed meeting so many of you. My name is Miss Rujina. Your child will be taught and supported by myself and Mrs Sharifa. We are all looking forward to teaching your child and working in partnership with you to support your child’s learning.
I plan to provide fun, hands-on activities within a safe and stimulating learning environment which will promote your child’s learning. Your child will have time to initiate their own learning through play. They will take part in whole class, small group and individual activities.
We appreciate the transition from Nursery to school can be a little daunting for all involved
but we do everything possible to make this process as easy as possible. Below we have tried to give you some essential information that you will need in these first few weeks.
At our school we believe that the Early Years lays the foundation for future development in all areas of school life and we aim to provide a varied and broad curriculum for all the children. Our classroom is organised into provision areas, such as sand and water, role play and construction. We have continuous access to the outdoors where we explore and expand our ideas on a larger scale.
Our curriculum is carefully planned to ensure that all The Early Learning Goals are fully met and we undertake a range of different themes throughout the year. We also develop our curriculum focus to follow children’s interests.
