Year 5 have been investigating Gases Around Us in their science lessons. After looking at solids and liquids in Year 4, in Year 5 we look at the third material - gases. Their first challenge was to prove that air is not 'nothing' which is what you might initially think. Anyway, armed only with what they could find in the classroom and their own initiative they set about trying to answer the challenge. Using balloons left over from the Eid party and paper fans they successfully proved that air cannot be 'nothing' because of air resistance. We created a photo journal of the lesson which you can download and view here: We hope you enjoy reading it.
