Welcome from the new Headteacher

E-mail
As-salamu-alaikum & Welcome,

All praise is due to Allah, The Most High, may His peace and blessings be upon the final Prophet Mohammed.

By the Grace of Allah and with great eagerness I take up the position of Headteacher. I very much look forward to meeting all those associated with the school. This is a crucial juncture in the school's brief history and the challenges ahead are many. Muslim faith schools play an important role within the education system of our country and there are many great stories to be told.

We are beginning to write a new chapter in our own storybook, building on all the good work already carried out whilst aspiring to be the leading school of choice for parents and the local community. A school where excellence and commitment to pupils' development both spiritual and academic will lead them to become invaluable assets to British society.

I welcome all those associated with the school to be part of what promises to be an amazing journey.

Audio Tajweed practice

E-mail

 Al-Hamdu Lillaah, the final part of our Quraan recitation resources is complete. This document has been developed as an aid to assist in learning Tajweed. After our students have fininshed the Qaa'idah and the bridge to Quraan they move on to learning the rules of Tajweed. The book contains twenty five of the most common rules occuring in the Quraan. You can click on the words and verses to listen to Ustaadth Hussain recite them correctly with Tajweed. Allaah, The Most High has said;

 { وَرَتِّلِ الْقُرْآنَ تَرْتِيلاً }

{…And recite The Quraan in measured recitation.} (73:4)

Interfaith Week

E-mail

Allaah Says in the Holy Quraan:

"O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allaah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware." [Hujuraat:13]

Our children have been appreciating our own faith this week by learning about other world religions. We want our children to have an understanding of other faiths and cultures as one day they shall make the transition into wider society. Islam teaches us tolerance and respect of those who hold different views than us even if we do not agree with these views. Understanding the social, religious and cultural structure of the UK will help them become shining exemplary citizens and hence perfect ambassadors of Islam.

Anti Bullying Week

E-mail

Anti-Bullying week has been a great success with the children partaking in a variety of activities such as participating in assemblies, school council surgeries, human chains and using sorry boxes. We have also been talking to children about e-safety and linking this to anti-bullying. Most importantly, they have learned about the different types of bullying and how to stop it as a bystander! Watch the video below and see how all our students formed a human chain around the whole school to signify we are united in stopping bullying.

Tawaaf Mural

E-mail

In order to brighten up our school hall we have painted a mural scene of Tawaaf. It impresses upon our children the fact that this Ummah is vast and united in its belief even though we are of many different colours and cultures. See the time lapse video below;
