OUTSTANDING LEVEL - TRANSPORT FOR LONDON |

Our school has been awarded the Outstanding Level by Transport for London in respect of our school travel plan.
We are the first school in Waltham Forest Borough to achieve this award . We had to initially apply for the higher level but had exceeded the expectations and were therefore awarded the outstanding level instead .
We would like to thank parents , staff and pupils for your efforts towards implementation of our school travel plan. Walking to school, Cycling, ensuring safer use of roads are just some of the ways that you have contributed to the success of our travel plan.
InshaAllaah we will receive our award at an awards ceremony in October 2010 which will be held at the Emirates Stadium .
THE CRITERIA FOR GAINING THIS AWARD FROM TRANSPORT FOR LONDON
To be classed as ‘outstanding’ a school must have met all criteria for both the ‘sustainable’ and ‘higher standards’ levels and their plan must be at the review stage or beyond. The school should be able to demonstrate an impressive level of participation in sustainable travel initiatives complimented by an innovative approach to its travel plan and related actions, consultation and monitoring. An ‘outstanding’ school is an exceptional school.
